Sagot :
In the story, The Little Prince, between the Little Prince and the fox, how important is the rite or ritual of taming? Well, first of all, before he met the fox, he met other kinds of creatures as well who have their own demands and responsibilities to do.
Going back to the importance of ritual taming, in the context of the Little Prince and the fox itself, this is vital as taming a fox per se will allow you to create a special bond with the animal. This could mean that they will start on relying with each other and having that special connection that the fox will only show with the Little Prince.
REAL LIFE APPLICATION
What’s the importance of this in our daily lives? Well, just like how the Little Prince met the fox, we also meet living creatures along the way, either an animal or a person. And here comes the concept of taming.
Taming an animal, specifically a dog for example, will create that sense of loyalty to dogs. You may notice this in the famous American film, “Hachiko”. The dog there, Hachiko, was not only tamed by the owner, but he was loved dearly. In return, the dog gave his loyalty to its owner. He was there through tough and merry times of the man’s life.
Taming a person, well, not the right term to use, but building a connection, a special relationship with someone – either a comrade, friendship, romantic relationship – allows you to create a special connection with that person as well.
