Each month a female’s body prepares for pregnancy. Women
normally experience menstrual cycles for the purpose of cleansing the body of
waste. A normal ovulation-menstrual cycle is 28 days long. In young teens,
cycles can range from 21-45 days; while in adults, cycles can range anywhere
from 21-35 days. If you want to know the count of your ovulation, you need to
know the average length of your menstrual period. Usually, the last day of your
period is the day before the next period occurs. Ovulation happens about two
weeks before the next expected period.
