The earth is divided into four major components: the crust, the mantle, the outer core, and the inner core. Each layer has a unique chemical composition, physical state, and can impact life on Earth's surface.
• Crust is the thinnest layer and serves as the surface of the planet.
• Mantle on the other hand is said to be semi-liquid in composition, the thickest layer and denser than crust.
• Outer core is known as the liquid core, generates the magnetic field.
• Inner core is said to be solid and pressure freezing, due to the immense pressure, heat and the densest layer of all.
