A Volcano refers to a mountain with a hole in the top and side or vent in the crust of the earth from which usually molten or hot rock and steam burst through.
• Shield - A type of volcano that is usually smaller and vast, that is wide at the top.
• Strato-volcano or composite - A type of volcano that is usually shaped as perfect cone.
• Cinder - A type of volcano that is partly destroyed and deformed and usually small.
• Spatter - A steep-sided cone constructed of agglutinate at a mafic vent.
• Complex - A complex volcano, also known as compound volcano, is mixed landform consisting of related volcanic centers and their associated lava flows and pyroclastic rocks.
