Sagot :
Answer:
A reflection on how having HIV affects a person and those around him or her.
We could safely say that being infected by the HIV virus has an overall negative effect on a person’s life. Aside from the symptoms and the gradual decline in both health and appearance once it begins, there is the most painful part which is the social stigma that accompanies it. Patients will more than likely lose all but the most loyal of their friends, even among relatives, only the immediate ones will stay with you and cheer you up while you bounce back and forth between depression and acceptance. A big part of how an individual will deal with this will be reliant on the personality of the patient and the people standing beside him. Will they make the rest of the individual’s time richer or will they continually rehash mistakes and blames. Remember, our lives are only as good as the people we share it with.
Explanation:
Here are some things a person with HIV can do to somehow overcome the problem:
- Accept it
- Get some treatment if possible
- Be with your family
- Know your true friends ( don’t worry, they will reveal themselves in time)
- Do the fun and good things you have always wanted to do.
Here are some reasons why people shun HIV patients:
- People are judgemental
- Because of ignorance, they may have the wrong idea of the way it is contracted.
- A less mentioned fact is that many people quietly enjoy seeing others suffer, even the ones they know, these are what I would refer to as fake people, you can generally tell who they are when you hear them talking about the misfortune of someone else in front of you, they like to gossip.
