A tree with a height of 5m casts a
shadow 10 m long on the ground. How high is another tree that casts a shadow which is 20 m long?​

Height of pole = 14m

Length of shadow = 10m

tan x = height of pole / length of shadow

tan x = 14/10 = 1.4

Now at the same time

Length of shadow of tree = 7m

Height of tree be = h m

tan x = height of tree/length of shadow of tree

1.4 = h/7

h = 9.8 m
