There were two orphans at play when a threatening storm urges the villagers to evacuate. Danilka managed to have his hand trapped in the hole needing assistance. Fyokls, Danilka's younger sister, went to the village to look for his Uncle Terenty. Terenty is the town's cobbler whom the two orphans leaned on with. Danilka was rescued and the storm has passed. The three went home while having Danilka awed with the beauty of nature.
