The senior high school is part of the Department of Education's most recent educational program, the K-12. K-12 refers to the additional years in high school that students need to complete before moving on to the college program. Previously, it would only take 6 years in grade school and 4 years of high school in order to proceed into getting a degree.

Senior High School

Senior High School is the additional two years that students have to complete before proceeding to college. During this time, they will gain specialization and specialized skills depending upon the skills they have and the degree program they are planning to get. In a way, it is also the stage where students are being honed and prepared to be competitive and learn the necessary knowledge that they may need in their college. Prior to the implementation of the Department of Education, several private and international schools and institutions in our country already offers the senior high school program for all students.
