1.replace the variable by the given number value(substitution law and
2.Perform the indicates arithmetic following the order of operations
-first,simplify expressions within grouping symbols
-then,simplify the powers
-then,simplify products and quotients in order from left to right
-then,simplify sums and difference order from left to right
