To make a mix number an improper fraction, the formula is:
(Denominator x Whole Number) + Numerator = New Numerator
Denominator = Denominator
Let say we have the mixed number :
5 6/7
Applying the formula,
(7 x 5) + 6
35 + 6
41
7 = 7
5 6/7 = 41/7
