Sagot :
From the word "need" you're obliged to do it -- you're forced to do it even if you don't want to, it's not our "want" but come to think of it. Our "wants" are selfish sometimes, it only thinks of our own satisfaction -- our desires, and it's waaaay far from doing what it needs to do. Think of this as an example, "going to school" you NEED to go to school for you to be able to have a bright future and a successful professional someday, it thinks of your future, if you don't want to go to school bc you just want to party all day and this enters your WANTS, you think partying all day may give you a bright future someday? Yes your happy but it is only temporary you know. -Hope it made sense to you, sorry for my bad grammar.
"Doing what needs to be done may not make you happy, but it will make you great."
Yes, I agree with the quote or whatever we call it because there are times when we people have a 'need' to do something but we know in ourselves that we go completely against it. Sometimes, the things that we NEED to do don't make us a happy person, don't cope up with the things that satisfy us but when we say 'need', it's something essential and something significant and we should give value on. Doing this need may not please us but it's something that would make us great and would benefit us thoroughly. Doing this need may not satisfy us but it's for the sake of everyone's happiness, it may not be now but later you'll just realize that, 'oh, I did the right choice.'
