Find the error in this sentence: You may like all these, but neither of these books are what I want.
a. like all these
b. of these books
c. are what
d. no error
I think the error is letter c because 'are' should rather be 'is' right? And it's because of the word neither. Neither isn't pertaining anything so it's singular that's why the linking verb 'are' should be replaced with the linking verb 'is'.
