Movement of continents in the world known as "continental drift" affects the globe in different ways such as the evolution of animals, the world’s geographical positions and its climates. Also, it causes natural disasters like earthquakes and tsunamis.
Continuous continental drift in a long period of time may trigger the formation of new land forms such as mountains (in continental collision) and may cause various natural disasters particularly earthquakes and tsunamis near fault lines and bodies of water. Also, it can change the geographical positions of countries as masses of land and ocean floors continue to move. Changes in climate will also be experienced in continental drift.
