Heat transfer- the transfer of energy between objects and places because of the difference in temperature.
the higher the temperature the higher the energy
the lower the temperature the lower the energy
when the environment is cold energy decreases that's why when you put a spoon in a glass fill with ice it cool because energy is being absorb by the ice.
same way with the spoon inside a boiling water, the energy is high so the heat will absorb by the spoon.
