What happens to each material(crayon)chocolate bar butter or margarine)when heated?why?

Sagot :

Why  do things melt and harden when warmed and cooled? Crayons, chocolate bar , butter or margarine eventually melts when heated. It is because, heat energy travels to the wax on the area where the materials lie, for instance, at the bottom of the pot. When these wax molecules are hit by the energy (heat) it causes them to move faster until they reach their melting point.
