why does my family not respect my privacy? like it took me years to have my own room while my brother who's 8 years old already have a room and my family won't even let me lock my door or even close my door bc of "what if's" and "emergencies" like what could happen in my own room with just a bed a desc and a window with bars? I don't even have a tv or an air conditioner like my brother does they even said what if a killer killed me like what? if there is a killer then I'll die bc my door is open or not locked they even go through my phone and stuff without permission yes I know they are my guardian and have rights for it but I have rights to myself too, it's making me feel like they don't trust me and it would always give me anxiety they don't even allow me to have friends and I am sick and tired of this and I need to know if are they even doing it right cause they even asked me to repay them the money they spended on me even though it was their responsibility and is known about the money they will spend on their child is their responsibility.

I know that feeling. I've been there too. My parents are very strict with me, they don't let me go out with my friends often and they also look through my phone sometimes. But I think it's not as tight as your parents have. This is only my opinion but I think your parents are being unfair. Maybe they are afraid that you would runaway? They love you too much? or they don't care about you? I don't know. Do you have any other relatives you can consult to? tell them about your problems and let them take care of you for the time being? While they sort it out with your parents? Do you have friends who you can confide with? Let them know that you need some comfort so that you don't just keep bottling up those feelings because you will only get stressed. I coped up with being unable to go out of the house by reading. Through reading stories I am able to free myself from stress and feel happy. Please don't get too stressed about it. Your parents feed you properly, right? When you get a job in the future, pay them up and tell them to not contact you again. The decision is up to you. I'm bad at giving you advices but yeah, that's the way I am. Good luck!
