What's a normal pulse
A normal resting pulse of an adult ranges from 60 to 100 bpm (or beats per minute).
- Bradycardia - is the condition wherein one's resting pulse rate, despite not being a trained athlete, is significantly lower than 60.
- Tachycardia - a condition wherein a person has a consistently significantly higher resting pulse rate than normal.
Trained athletes, or even people who are physically active, may have lower than normal pulse, which may go as low as 40 bpm.
