Why?

Answer:

BOTH

Explanation:

If I were my parent then I would be strict.

Currently most people probably think that because I am a teenager, I'd like to become a nice parent. That's not exactly what I had in mind. If I were my parent, then I would have to become much stricter than my parents are right now . The situation I have noticed is that my kids are showing no respect to me and my wife, as parents. The oldest one is not working at age fifteen and the youngest is acting with total disregard for the concept of respect. Things would definitely have to change.

First, I would have to start when the kids were just three or four. That is the time when the point must get across about who is in charge. If a spanking is needed, then that is what the kids will have to get. This may be a little harsh , but it will engrave in their memories how things work. The earlier, I as a parent, get the point across about who is in charge, the longer it will stay with them. When those once cute kids turn into rowdy teenagers , some different tactics will have to be used. The first time the teenager messes up, poof, there goes his or her social life for a while . Of course, I will still tell the children I love them, so they don't think that I despise them. All of the punishment , will be given, while showing love. Hopefully, this would keep in their minds that respect is most important. When they go off on their own as adults these lessons should be well learned.

Another requirement, of my parenthood, would be to have my fifteen year old child working. I would tell him or her that at the age of fifteen that he or she needs to take on responsibility. " It is time for you to start contributing to the family. " I'd say. I would also have to add, " Heck, by the time I was fifteen I was a contributing part of the family income
