The majority of earthquake epicenters is very close to the location of volcanoes. It is because, during volcanic activity, earthquakes often happen. Earthquakes may happen far from volcanoes but that is because of tectonic activity. But still, a place surrounded by many volcanoes is also a unfortunate setting of earthquakes due to volcanic activity.
