Method 1: Guess and Check
We look for two numbers with a product of 10 and an absolute difference of 3 so we look at the factors of 10:
10 - 1 = 9 X
5 - 2 = 3 √
Therefore, x²+3x-10=(x+5)(x-2)
Method 2: Quadratic Formula:
x = -3 ± √(3²+40) = -3 ± √49 = -3 ± 7 = -5 or 2
