Martin has a 2-meter long wire. Will he be able to cut 5 small pieces of wire 25 centimeters long from it? Why?

Sagot :

First lets convert:
[tex]2 m(\frac{100 cm}{1 m})=200 cm[/tex]

5 small pieces of wire having a length of 25 cm
5 x 25 cm=125 cm

Subtract:
200-125=75(positive)

Therefore the answers:
1.He will be able to cut 5 small pieces of wire 25 cm long from it.
2.He is able to cut because the length of the wire is 200 cm and the length he needed is only 125 cm.

Hope this helps =)
