Find the volume of a cylinder 75 m high with its base having a radius of 30 m.

Sagot :

The volume of a cylinder is:
[tex] \pi r^2h= \pi (30)^275=67500 \pi m^3[/tex]
The volume formula of the cylinder is:
V=πr²h
we can leave the π as a variable or by 3.14 depending by your teacher..
Given the values, substitute
V=π(30 m)²(75 m)
PEMDAS meaning parenthesis first, and next is exponent, before multiply

V=π(900 m²)(75 m)
V=67,500π m³

If your teacher doesn't accept π, and wants 3.14, just substitute
V=67,500(3.14) m³
V=211,950 m³

Hope this helps =)
