Actually, both of these graphs are the same! A circle has 360 degrees. This is your 100%. Let's say that the title of your graph is how much money you spend in a week, and what you use it for. If you use 45% for food, 15% for academics, 15% for transportation, and you save the remaining 25%, then all you have to do is get 45% of 360, 15% of 360, and 25% of 360, and that's how many degrees you have to use to be able to plat your information on the graph.
