The layers of the earth are:
crust
mantle
outer core
inner core
Crust is the layer where most life forms exist. If it is in the mantle, their would be lava, water, or any natural disasters waiting for us. Also not in the core because core is more deadly, if we can't pass from the mantle how can we past from the core xD. Hope this helps =)
