Sagot :
Multiplication is simply adding an integer to itself a specific number of times or it's just a repeated addition.
Example:
7 x 3
It will just be 7 + 7 + 7 or 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 (Commutative property).
Example:
7 x 3
It will just be 7 + 7 + 7 or 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 (Commutative property).
The basic idea of multiplication is repeated addition.
For example: 5 × 3 = 5 + 5 + 5 = 15
But as well as multiplying by whole numbers, you can also multiply by fractions or decimals.
For example 5 × 3½ = 5 + 5 + 5 + (half of 5) = 17.5
