Please help me with this problem...(a wire measures 1300m and it id divided by 3 sides, with a given ratio 2:4:7) ...

Sagot :

first add up the ratios:
2+4+7=13
then divide the total length by the sum:
1300÷13=100
now just multiply the ratios by 100
(2×100):(4×100):(7×100)
200:400:700
1, 300m x [tex] \frac{2}{2 + 4 + 7} [/tex]
1, 300 m x [tex] \frac{2}{13} [/tex]
[tex] \frac{2, 600 m}{13} [/tex] = 200m

1, 300 m x  [tex] \frac{4}{2 + 4 + 7} [/tex]
1, 300 m x [tex] \frac{4}{13} [/tex]
[tex] \frac{5,200m}{13} [/tex] = 400m

1, 300 m x [tex] \frac{7}{2 + 4 + 7} [/tex]
1, 300 m x [tex] \frac{7}{13} [/tex]
[tex] \frac{9, 100m}{13} [/tex] = 700m

The length of the 3 sides are, 200 m, 400 m, and 700 m if that is what you are looking for.
